Finally there's a Brazilian restaurant in Seattle! Tempero do Brasil recreates the romance and excitement of Bahia, Brazil. Bahia is one of the oldest cities in the Americas and is the land of white beaches, palm trees, tropical warmth and fun-loving people! It's also home to Brazil's most interesting and varied cuisine. Bahiana cuisine starts with appetizers that can be a meal in themselves: Baked crabmeat, Coxinha and Risole are examples. Entrees are often based on fish and shellfish, and prepared in sauces such as dende oil, coconut milk, manioc, vegetables and spices. Chicken and beef are also specialties, prepared with several kinds of exotic sauces. Regional dishes such as Vatapa accompany the entrees. Desserts feature tropical fruits, guava, coconut and more!
